This month at the Sunday Assembly Reading we are going to be talking on the weighty subjects (which are often of no practical use) and the trivial (the important stuff that is real life).

This will follow the format of Speed Dating, but we’re looking for intellectual enlightenment, experience sharing and having a laugh rather than romance. No background in philosophy is required in the slightest.

Then add some great songs, sung with The Word Of Bob, and all the other fun things that make a Sunday Assembly.

Doors open at 30 mins before the Assembly starting. The best way to meet new people is to come early.

And, if the weather stays lovely we’ll picnic in Forbury Gardens after, about 13:15.

Cheapest car park in Reading is most probably on Napier Street - £1.10 per hour.

There is a lot of free parking on Sundays on the streets north of the Irish Centre. Try Weldale Street, North Street and Great Knollys Street. There is a footpath that leads from Weldale Street to Chatham Street, and then the Irish Centre will be on your right.
